About the Author
Ankit Kumar is a science graduate from the University of Calcutta. In the fall of 2023, he enrolled for a Master’s program at the University of East Anglia, Norwich (England), before making the conscious decision to dedicate himself fully to writing The Life with Physics.
Over nearly two years of research and writing, Ankit worked extensively to design a textbook that breaks away from the rigid, formula-heavy structure of conventional physics books. He explored multiple perspectives—academic, pedagogical, and student-centered—to ensure the content remains engaging, understandable, and pleasurable to read.
His work reflects a deep commitment to education, clarity, and creativity, with the belief that students learn best when concepts feel real, relatable, and alive.
About the Book
The Life with Physics is a narrative-style physics textbook designed specifically for Class 11 students.
Unlike traditional textbooks that often feel dry and technical, this book uses storytelling as a teaching tool—bringing physics concepts to life through characters, situations, and real-world experiences.
The book follows the journey of six friends—Aditi, Aakash, Dolly, Kimaya, Arnold, and David—living in a coastal village called Kolty. As they navigate student life, dream of adventures, plan ambitious trips, and experiment with local ventures, they unknowingly explore the principles of physics around them.
Core concepts such as:
Mechanics
Physical quantities and dimensions
Thermodynamics
are woven naturally into their daily experiences, making abstract theories tangible, intuitive, and memorable.
